Homeopathy[1] is the ancient pseudoscientific medical system in which it’s believed that something that causes a symptom in a healthy individual can somehow cure that symptom when given in a tiny tiny dose to a sick one. It was invented mainly by Samuel Hahnemann back in 1796, and essentially hasn’t changed since then. In fact the Canadian Academy of Homeopathy have a project to collect newer information admitting that:
Since T. F. Allen and Constantine Hering compiled and published their comprehensive works of the homeopathic materia medica at the end of the 19th century, no further systematic revision of the materia medica has taken place.

Unfortunately the Canada government has caved to these snakeoil peddlers and outright certify this baloney right on the Health Canada website. There’s a whole department dedicated to it in fact. This abdication of scientific honesty and rigour has lead to pharmacies selling the useless tinctures this cult creates on shelves right next to actually proven medicine.
If you think this is a problem, then let your MP know.
